The nights are long and the days are grey and drizzly, and while we know some of us find winter the most fun time of the year, for others the best way to deal with it is to start planning for fun times to come. In keeping with Escape Campers tradition, therefore, here are some ideas you might want to follow.

Festival Dates for Your Diary

The festival season continues to grow in the UK, with a huge number of events of all sizes catering to all interests. There’s no good way for us to list all of them, but here are some big names that can be easier to attend with a campervan:

  • Liverpool Sound City – May 2nd – 3rd
  • Download Festival – June 10th-14th
  • Isle of Wight Festival – June 18th – 21st
  • Latitude – July 23rd – 26th
  • Reading – August 27th – 30th
  • Kendal Calling – July 30th – August 2nd

Don’t forget, Glastonbury is having a ‘fallow year’ as it does, so they’ll be back in 2027!

For those who like to venture further afield, Europe has some fantastic things coming up:

  • Freak Valley Festival – June 4th – 6th
  • Primavera Sound Barcelona – June 3rd – 7th
  • Rock Am Ring – June 5th – 7th
  • Roskilde Festival – June 27th – July 4th
  • Wonderfeel – July 3rd – 5th
  • Les Plages Electroniques – August 7th – 9th

And for anyone who wants the cheapest way to experience Eurovision, the semi-finals and grand final run from May 12th t0 May 16th in Vienna, at the Wiener Stadthalle. Accommodation prices nearby are always through the roof – but a professionally converted campervan gives you a great base of operations.
