It seems like we just turned around after Christmas but here we are, already past the February half-term, and for families that means finding something fun to do to make special memories. Naturally, for us, this means we think about campervan trips and micro-breaks first.
Of course you can always start with our suggestions for 2025 campervan adventures – but April might still be a little early for some of those.
So what could you do instead?
Campervan Microbreaks in Beautiful Places
How many of our Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty have you visited? Believe it or not, there are 46 across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and another forty National Scenic Areas in Scotland.
One of the best ways to get out there and experience them is by campervan, finding a good place to park up nearby and explore.

The Forest of Bowland, the Shropshire Hills, Cannock Chase, the Wye Valley, the Causeway Coast and more can all be great places to explore even when the weather is still warming up.
If you’re a little more confident in the English weather, why not head down to Cornwall and spend a few days on the coast? Great scenery and a potential early taste of the summer to come can motivate you for the rest of the year.
Any of these represent a perfect opportunity to make wonderful memories with your family – and what else, really, is the holiday for?
Take in a Show
If your tastes lie more toward indoor entertainment at this time of year, there are still plenty of options. Drive over to Stratford-upon-Avon and take in Hamlet at the RSC, browsing through the beautiful little town while the play’s not on, and no teacher can say your children’s holiday wasn’t educational enough.

Maybe a concert would be a better option? One of the great things about owning a campervan is that wherever your favourite artists are performing, you can be staying nearby. The touring never stops, so it’s just a question of knowing where you want to be.
Make the Most of Match Day
Treat yourself to away tickets for your team and follow them. Like building your microbreak around where your favourite band is playing, it’s a great way to discover a city you might never have spent time in otherwise, and enjoy something special at the centre of it all.

Making the Most of an Easter Campervan Adventure
In the UK, weather’s at its least predictable around this time of year. When you’re packing, be sure you pack layers, waterproofs, and good sturdy waterproof boots or wellies, but have some shorts and light tops to hand as well, just in case!
We’d also recommend giving some thought to what happens if you don’t want to leave the van outside of any big events. Maybe you’ll want to download some films, or maybe you’ve got a Switch or Steam Deck to keep occupied!
Either way, a modern, professionally converted campervan gives you the perfect home away from home to enjoy.
