As we write this, there’s a healthy debate going on in UK newspapers about whether we can expect a snowstorm this Christmas, we’re recovering from a wave of storms, and the roads are rainy. At times like this, it’s natural to start thinking about nicer times – so while we do have some thoughts on winter campervan adventures, we wanted to take the opportunity to look forwards to 2025 campervan trips you might take.
Hitting The Festival Circuit
The dates might already be in your calendar! Festival season in the UK is usually considered to kick in with June although there are plenty of earlier ones scattered around the calendar, and many of them are at their best when your night finishes up in your comfortable campervan.
If you like your music you might be interested in any or all of the following:
- Download Festival (11 – 15 June)
- Isle of Wight Festival (19 – 22 June)
- Glastonbury (25 – 29 June)
- Latitude (24 – 27 July)
- Reading (20 – 24 August)

Tomorrowland in Belgium runs July 18-20 and July 25-27, allowing enthusiasts to bookend a tour of the country with fantastic experiences. Roskilde Festival, in Denmark, runs a full week from June 28th to July 5th – and let’s not kid ourselves, a state-of-the-art campervan is the best way to experience a week-long music festival.
But one experience stands alone. Between the 12th and 17th of May, Basel, Switzerland will play host to the Eurovision Song Contest. Anyone who remembers the uproar about AirBnB price hikes this year will realise that a campervan is a much more cost-effective way to celebrate this high camp holiday.
I Would Drive 500 Miles and I Would Drive 500 More

Almost all campervan owners – and quite a few people who are still thinking about it – know about the NC500, a 500-mile tour of the best of the Scottish North Coast. Many of us don’t know about some of the ‘big’ routes that are just a ferry ride away.
Norway holds a hidden treasure in the Geiranger-Trollstigen, also known as the Troll Route. This breathdaking drive winds its way up steep mountainsides, giving you views you’ll remember for the rest of your life. It usually opens sometime in May, and then stays open (weather permitting) until the first snowfall in Autumn.
For those who prefer routes built in history, the Route Napoleon starts in the South of France and surges 200 miles up into the French Alps, following the path taken by Napoleon Bonaparte when he returned to exile, amassing an army of loyalists as he went.
Or if that’s not your thing, what about the Brothers Grimm inspired Fairy Tale Road in Germany? It starts off in Hanau, where the brothers were born, and while it officially ends at the Ratskeller in Bremen, it’s recommended to detour on to Buxtehude as that road takes you through a part of Germany where you can easily imagine the brothers are still alive and writing. This route has castles, palaces, fountains, and spellbinding forest.
Citybreaks with All Your Creature Comforts

Especially with expenses rising worldwide, it can be helpful to find a good camping spot near any city you want to visit. Hotels and rented accommodation are soaring in price, but your trusty converted campervan is an investment that pays off better the more those costs go up. Make any holiday more of an experience and more affordable at once with a campervan.
If you haven’t already, make 2025 the New Year that you bring yourselves new roads and new opportunities with one of our campervans. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
